Please note: class starts in week 2 of term 4. This is a 9-week class; there will be an excursion day to make up for the lost week.

This course has no current classes. Please the waiting list.

Please note: all of Michael's classes start in week 2 of term 4.

This class mixes the immediacy of plein air's direct observation of landscape with the more considered studio response. Students first venture outdoors to enjoy the immediacy of capturing observations of the landscape in drawings and paintings. These excursions are combined with studio sessions where you will create larger works based on your considered responses to these plein air studies.

**Please note: The first class will cover materials that can be explored through the term, so not all is needed on the first day!

Suggested materials:

Start with your normal drawing kit, A4 and A5 watercolour pad, Dry Pastel, Ink, watercolour and Graphite pencils.
