Students will be introduced to a variety of methods and techniques including brush handling, charging and dragging techniques, laying washes, glazing techniques, resist and masking methods, lifting techniques, and paper stretching. Students will learn how to mix colour and develop an understanding of colour theory to create lively and engaging artworks.
You will explore composition and expressive approaches to a variety of topics including still life, flowers, landscapes, urban scenes, birds and animals, reflective surfaces such as water and metal, abstract compositions, figurative works, and portraits. Experienced students will be supported to work on individual projects and bring along studio works in progress for feedback.
