Capturing the subtle features of the face is a challenging task requiring strong drawing and observation skills. Mastering the basic proportions of the head is crucial and will greatly simplify the process of capturing detailed features like the gentle fold of an eyelid or the upward tilt of the tip of a nose. This course will introduce you to proportions of the head and face, common and popular methods used by illustrators, and examine each feature of the face in detail.
Learning how to draw the face is quite achievable by breaking down the human face into a few key landmarks. Once you grasp these fundamentals, you can apply them to your drawings to enhance your portraits and enrich your sketchbook.
