Techniques covered include: MONOPRINTING AND VISCOCITY COLOUR PRINTING
All levels welcome.
MONOPRINTING DAY 1
Monoprinting from the Natural World will focus on forms and textures found in nature using a variety of materials such as pressed leaves, feathers and organic fibres. Cut papers will provide a stencil to create multiple textures, shape and colour. This monoprinting process will involve drawing using a trace Monoprinting process as well as create organic compositions with emphasis on layering with colour.
VISCOSITY COLOUR PRINTING DAY 2
This day will be devoted to printing your Monoprinting plates using the viscosity colour method involving large rollers to apply many colours. Viscosity in the ink is used to separate coloured ink which will yield up to 3 colours in one passage through the press. Many printing techniques will be applied and demonstrated resulting in exciting and unexpected results as well as embossing onto paper. At the conclusion of the workshop, a Fine Art portfolio of stunning prints will be produced on state of the arts papers."
