In Term 3 Mark Rowden will take the afternoon class. Please read the description below for your class:
Tuesday morning class with Seraphina Martin (to be confirmed)
This class invites beginners as well as advanced participants to join Seraphina as she guides you through many aspects of printmaking techniques using low toxic methods and safe work ethic.
Techniques include: monoprinting, drypoint etching, aluminium plate etching, solar plate etching and collagraph etching.
Experimental applications of these processes will be encouraged using rollers for viscosity colour and stencils.
Create a stunning portfolio of state of the art prints in a short time for display at home, exhibition or a local art competition.
Tuesday afternoon class with Mark Rowden
Mark Rowden will lead students through an engaging printmaking course that focuses on monoprint, linocut, and collagraph techniques as well as blending the techniques to make mixed media works. This class will suit both beginners and continuing students, focusing on layering, texture, and creative experimentation. The aim is to create a cohesive portfolio of prints by the end of term, using safe, low-tox materials and hands-on approaches. Presses and hand printing techniques.
Materials
Fees cover tuition and include $45 of basic materials. You will need to provide your own art materials - please contact the tutor for a materials list.
