Create contemporary jewellery designs using both precious and non-precious materials with the option to explore different processes and finishes such as enamelling, stamping and patination throughout the term. Work at your own pace to make your ideas a reality.
Fee includes $10 of materials.

Materials List
Bring drawing paper and pen and pencil to sketch design ideas. Pliers and files are not necessary for the first class, however a saw frame would be advantageous as there are a limited number of these available. AJS supply all jewellery tools and equipment (see link below).
- Solder wire 300mm of hard, & easy (medium solder optional)
- Sterling silver sheet 0.9mm thick 40 mm x 40 mm
- Sterling silver wire round 0.9mm thick 500mm length
- Sterling silver ½ round wire 4.2 x 2.2mm 200mm length
- Emery paper wet and dry 1 sheet each 180, 240, 360, 600 & 1200
- 24 jeweller’s saw blades size 3/0 or 2/0 cut
- 10cm saw frame
Best to also bring:
- An apron,
- Ultrafine permanent marker
- Notebook

- 15cm steel ruler
- Steel divider
- 1 set of assorted needle files
- Large file half round coarse cut
- 1 pair of half round pliers
- 1 pair of flat jaw pliers
- 1 pair of forming pliers
