Painting & Drawing in Mixed Media - Judith White

This course has a structured program of exercises and demonstrations to provide a solid grounding in technical skills, help build confidence and expand creative energy. There will be time during the term to work on personal projects, as well as outdoor work excursions. 

Materials List Term 4

We start with a drawing exercise that will be developed into a painting idea.

For the first day

• Drawing materials; pencils, black pigmented ink pen size .08 (approx) 
• Bottle of Black Pigmented Ink (Art Spectrum). Other brands are suitable  except Windsor and Newton. 
• Sheet of good watercolour paper. 320 grm (approx) 
• Glad Wrap 

Acrylic 

• Paynes Grey
• Titanium White 

Brushes 

• your usual including a wide wash brush
• an old brush for glue 

Other materials 

• white tissue paper 
• PVA glue. Flat white palette 

Useful for the term:

• Large sketch book of cartridge paper (A3) 
• Blade cutting knife 
• Notebook

These are not needed on the first day (apart from the White and Paynes  Grey) but will be essential during the term.

• Raw Sienna 
• Paynes Grey 
• Red Gold (this is an Atelier colour)
• Carbon Black

• French Ultramarine Blue

Not essential pigments
