This course has a structured program of exercises and demonstrations to provide a solid grounding in technical skills, help build confidence and expand creative energy. There will be time during the term to work on personal projects, as well as outdoor work excursions.
Materials List | Term 4 2025
We’ll start the day with a drawing exercise that will be the inspiration of a painting.
Bring your cartridge pad of drawing paper.
Small piece of light cardboard A4 approx.
Pencils; 4B, 6B
Rubber
Blade cutter.

Hopefully later in the morning we’ll start a painting
Bring a full sheet of medium weight watercolour paper ( 350 grams )
Waterford 350 grms cold pressed is ok.
If you have been working on un-stretched canvas this would be fine to start a new painting.
white tissue paper
brown wrapping paper
PVA glue
Bring all your usual painting materials eg acrylics, brushes, oil stick, and any work in progress.
