This course has a structured program of exercises and demonstrations to provide a solid grounding in technical skills, help build confidence and expand creative energy. There will be time during the term to work on personal projects, as well as outdoor work excursions.
Materials List | Term 3 2025
Materials for the first day
- Black waterproof drawing ink
- Black felt tip pen size 7 or 8
- Wide wash brush (Hake goats hair is ideal)
- Soft round watercolour type brush medium to large size
- Wide bristle painting brush
- White tissue paper
- PVA glue
- Old brush for glue
- Bull dog clips
- Full sheet of light to medium watercolour paper (cold pressed 220 grams approx)
- Large sketch pad (A3) of cartridge paper (for new people this is used throughout the term for general drawing etc)
- Oil pastels - Black and white. Select an artist’s quality e.g. Holbein or Sennelier
If you have a black or white oil stick bring this as well.
