We offer over thirty Painting & Drawing classes across a variety of media including acrylics, oils, watercolours and mixed media in a range of traditional and contemporary genres.
Drawing Fundamentals - Yvonne East
Suitable for beginner and intermediate students
This course will introduce you to the possibilities of drawing as an endeavour to challenge the way we see, imagine, and discover the world around us. Working directly from objects and later in the course, the human figure, students will develop observational drawing skills exploring conceptual and perceptual processes, and develop familiarity with a range of materials, techniques, and strategies to engage with drawing as a means of creative expression. Materials and methods explored include graphite, coloured pencil, additive and subtractive methods with willow and compressed charcoal, pen and ink, Conté, Aux deux crayons, and Trois crayons methods.

Classical Oil Painting with Jackson Davies
All levels welcome!
This course teaches you the fundamentals of classical oil painting. Throughout the course you will be guided through a series of informative exercises designed to develop your painting skills. Examples of these exercises include working from life (still life) as well as an Old Master study. You can also work on your own projects under the mentorship of Jackson. You are encouraged to go at your own pace and to enjoy learning in a relaxed studio environment. It is hoped that this course gives you a deep understanding and love for the beauty of oil painting.
Beginners and experienced students are welcome.
